On the morning of October 4, the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VNRC) Central Committee received donations from the Lee's Sandwiches System's charity program and Vietnamese people in the US.

The ceremony was held online with the participation of representatives of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Lee's Sandwiches system.
After a week of launching from August 8-15, 2021, the charity program of the Lee's Sandwiches system raised 200,000 USD to support the frontline forces fighting the COVID-19 pandemic and people in difficulty in Ho Chi Minh City.
It is known that Lee's Sandwiches system has donated 100% of the sales of coffee products and received contributions from the Vietnamese community in the US, and its staff.
The program will carry out specific activities: Supporting equipment for hospitals and medical facilities that are treating COVID-19 patients such as ventilators, oxygen flowmeters, patient monitors, protective clothes for the COVID-19 fight, medical masks for medical staff and volunteers of the Red Cross Society, who directly participate in the pandemic prevention and control; and supporting family goods bags including food and foodstuff for people severely affected by COVID-19 in isolation and blockade areas.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh, Secretary General of the Vietnam Red Cross Society Central Committee, highly appreciated the noble gesture of the Lee's Sandwiches system and the Vietnamese people in the US for their active donations to support the homeland.
The Vietnam Red Cross Society is committed to sending the support to the frontline fight and the people in Ho Chi Minh City as soon as possible.
Mr. Pham Viet Hung, a representative of the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese, expressed his appreciation for the enthusiastic contribution of Lee's Sandwiches system, showing the hearts of the overseas Vietnamese in the US amid difficult circumstances due to the general impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2020, through the Vietnam Red Cross Society, Lee's Sandwiches system also presented 100,000 USD from the charity program towards Vietnam’s Central region to support the people affected by floods to soon overcome difficulties and stabilize life./.
