Right after the donation program ended, the association cooperated with CHARITY - SHARE FOR CHANGE (SFC) and Ben San Church in Binh Duong province as a representative to distribute gifts to households facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In Binh Chanh and Binh Tan districts of Ho Chi Minh City, the association has supported each district with 600 gifts and 10 packages of rice with a total worth of 240 million VND. The beneficiaries are poor households, who are in difficult circumstances due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In Binh Duong, the Overseas Vietnamese Association in RoK donated 208 cartons of powdered milk and 500 cartons of milk to COVID-19 patients being treated at 2 health stations in Tan Uyen town in Binh Duong province and families with F0 patients being treated at home.

The total worth of the support for Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong province is 360 million VND.

In addition, the association said that medical equipment donated in the RoK, including medical masks and COVID-19 quick test kits, needs to be granted customs clearance, so the association is carrying out necessary procedures for transport to Vietnam in October 2021.

President of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in RoK Vu Duc Luong shared that the association would like to express sincere thanks to the sponsors, individuals and organizations who have accompanied the program to help people in the homeland overcome the pandemic.

This is a meaningful program, not only showing the spirit of solidarity and consensus of the Vietnamese community in RoK, but also a great source of encouragement and motivation for compatriots to overcome difficulties and defeat the COVID-19 pandemic./.
