Southern city greets international delegation arrives by river after 2 year hitaus

(CPV) - Saigontourist Travel Service Company (Saigontourist) served an international delegation of Australian nationals in the form of river tourism (Indochine 2) from July 18 to 22.

This is the first international delegation following the river journey back to Vietnam since the beginning of 2020.
The Indochine 2 ship docked at Saigon Port on July 18 and continued its journey to My Tho on July 19, Vinh Long on July 20, Sa Dec, Tan Chau on July 21 and arrives in Cambodia on the afternoon of July 22 through Vinh Xuong border gate.
The delegation visited popular destinations in Ho Chi Minh City, experienced the floating market on the Mekong River and studied the lives of local people.
In September, the company will continue to promote the exploitation and provide services of this source of international visitors, actively contributing to the strategy of recovering international visitors of Vietnam’s tourism industry in the near future.
Data from the HCM City Statistics Office shows that international tourists to the city in the first half of 2022 reached 477,982 arrivals, an increase of 100% over the same period./.
