The two sides met to exchange the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on the project of developing an urban complex and an industrial park based on the government to government (G2G) cooperation platform between Bac Ninh province and the Korean Real Estate Corporation (LH).

Mr. Kim Yu In introduced to the leaders of Bac Ninh province about the urban growth partnership program between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, and introduced LH Corporation to be able to implement the program in Bac Ninh province. With more than 60 years of development, LH Corporation, a state-owned enterprise in the Republic of Korea, has a management system, financial capacity and investment experience in the fields of developing industrial zones, economic zones, and housing provision. The Corporation has carried out many large projects in the Republic of Korea and 14 countries around the world, including Vietnam, with investment projects in the provinces and cities of Hanoi, Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue and Hung Yen.

In the future, the LH Corporation will cooperate in urban development based on G2G, in order to solve urban problems caused by Vietnam's economic growth such as a lack of housing, rising real estate prices; lack of infrastructure, traffic congestion, sanitation; environmental pollution and lack of green space. The corporation wants Bac Ninh province's support so that in mid-June, the it will sign a Memorandum of Understanding. In the coming time, the two sides will actively exchange information and create opportunities for investment cooperation.

Briefly introducing the province's socio-economic development over the past time, Ms Giang said that with a favorable geographical position and many open investment attraction policies, Bac Ninh is one of the fastest growing provinces in the country. She emphasized that Bac Ninh is focusing on boosting development to become a centrally run city by 2030. Therefore, it needs large resources to complete the infrastructure, including large urban development projects; environmental improvement projects, public works, regional trade and services, industrial zones, tourist areas, healthcare, and education and training.

She agreed on the investment cooperation policy of LH Group in Bac Ninh, and assigned functional departments and agencies to coordinate with LH Group to develop and agree on a draft of a Memorandum of Understanding for the Vietnam - Korea Urban Growth Partnership Program in the shortest time./.
