Denmark wishes to strengthen effective cooperation with Vietnam in green growth

(CPV) - Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Kim Højlund Christensen has expressed his belief that Denmark's cooperation orientations in the field of green growth are in line with Vietnam's development policy, emphasizing that the Danish Government and business community want to strengthen effective cooperation with Vietnam in this field.

On July 6, Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son received Danish Ambassador Kim Højlund Christensen who came to say farewell on the occasion of the end of his term in Vietnam.
At the meeting, Minister Bui Thanh Son congratulated Ambassador Christensen on successfully completing his term of office in Vietnam and highly appreciated the active role and effective contribution of the Ambassador personally to the development of the Vietnam - Denmark comprehensive partnership.
In the field of politics-diplomacy, even in the context of the pandemic, the two countries have maintained contact between senior leaders, exchange delegations and contacts at all levels. In terms of economics, Denmark is the third largest European investor of Vietnam in 2022 and an important trade partner of Vietnam among EU members, with two-way trade growing positively to 588 million USD in 2021.
Denmark is one of the first EU countries to approve the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA)
Minister Bui Thanh Son suggested the two sides continue to closely coordinate to exploit the maximum potential of cooperation in areas where Denmark has strengths and Vietnam has needs, especially in the field of strategic partnership on climate change, environment and green growth, as well as expanding cooperation in education - training, high-tech agriculture and people-to-people exchanges.
For his part, Ambassador Christensen thanked Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son for taking the time to receive him, and expressed his impression of the positive development of the two countries' relations. The Ambassador showed his gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ministries, branches and localities for supporting the activities of the Embassy and the Ambassador personally during his working term in Vietnam.
The Ambassador affirmed that he will always have good feelings for Vietnam, fostering the growing friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Denmark./.
