Eighth Vietnam - Japan Festival to be held in Ho Chi Minh City

On October 10, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai had a meeting with Mr. Takebe Tsutomu, Special Advisor to the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance (JVFPA) and Head of the Committee on Organization of the Vietnam - Japan Festival, on his working visit to the Vietnamese city.

At the meeting, Mr. Mai expressed his pleasure to meet Mr. Takebe Tsutomu, appreciating the activities of the two friendship parliamentary groups between Vietnam and Japan. He also acknowledged Mr. Takebe's efforts and positive contributions to the Vietnam-Japan friendship cooperation for many years, expressing his belief that in the coming time, the cooperation relationship between Japan and Vietnam will not stop developing.

Talking about the plan to organize the 8th Vietnam - Japan Festival to be held in Ho Chi Minh City in 2023, he affirmed that this is an important event, held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam. “Ho Chi Minh City will coordinate with agencies in charge of the Japanese side to organize the festival successfully,” he added.

Mr. Takebe Tsutomu expressed his delight at the growing cooperation between Japan and Vietnam, based on mutual respect and help. Saying thanks for the support and companionship of leaders of Ho Chi Minh City's departments and agencies in successfully organizing the Vietnam - Japan Festival for many years, Mr. Takebe Tsutomu also discussed a number of plans for the organization of the 8th Vietnam - Japan Association to be held in Ho Chi Minh City./.
