Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the City People's Committee Phan Van Mai expressed his pleasure at the good development of the relationship between Vietnam and Australia, which is an important foundation for Ho Chi Minh City to continue promoting cooperation with other Australian states, including the state of Victoria. The signing event of an agreement to establish a friendly and cooperative relationship between the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Victorian government is a testament to this cooperation.

Chairman of the City People's Committee Phan Van Mai expressed his wish that after this meaningful event, the two sides will soon implement concrete cooperation. Ho Chi Minh City will always create conditions to develop cooperative relations between the two sides. Ho Chi Minh City leaders look forward to welcoming delegations of leaders and businesses from Victoria and Australia to visit and work in Ho Chi Minh City to have the opportunity to discuss cooperation opportunities in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital transformation, automation and high-tech industries to contribute to economic development, promote digital transformation, and build Ho Chi Minh City into a smart city.

On this occasion, Chairman of the City People's Committee Phan Van Mai invited the Governor of Victoria and the delegation to visit Ho Chi Minh City at an appropriate time to discuss specific cooperation programs between the two sides.

Victorian Governor Daniel Andrews expressed his pleasure to attend an important signing ceremony with Ho Chi Minh City to promote cooperation between the two sides. Victoria is an economically innovative body, home to many prestigious universities. Ho Chi Minh City is also a major economic and financial center of Vietnam, home to many great universities, which is a spearhead to promote Vietnam's economic development.

The opening of a scientific research center in Ho Chi Minh City to support Vietnamese students in Victorian universities and reopening of flight routes are important steps to develop the cooperation between the two sides. In addition, the signing of cooperation between the two sides is a favourable opportunity to strengthen cooperation in the coming time. Mr. Daniel Andrews expressed his hope that the two sides will have greater number of cooperation opportunities after the signing./.
