Ho Chi Minh City cares for promoting trade and investment cooperation with Czech

On May 25, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Van Dung had a meeting with Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech parliament Jan Bartosek, who is visiting and working in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the meeting, Mr. Dung congratulated the Czech delegation for having had fruitful working days in Hanoi and had a true sense of the people and country of Vietnam.

He expressed his belief that on the basis of the good relationship of the past 73 years, together with the determination of leaders at all levels and people of the two countries, the relationship between Vietnam and the Czech Republic will grow more and more, for the benefit of the two nations. He also welcomed the efforts of Mr. Jan Bartosek and the delegation of the the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech parliament in promoting relations with Vietnam, including Ho Chi Minh City. “The city is always interested in promoting opportunities for trade and investment cooperation with the Czech Republic; and is willing to welcome and create favorable conditions for Czech businesses to invest and do long-term business in the city,” he added.

He affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City hoped to welcome more Czech tourists to the city in the future and promote cooperation with the Czech Republic in the field of education and training of high quality human resources serving the future development of the city.

Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech parliament Jan Bartosek expressed his delight at the strong development of relations between the two countries and expressed his belief that with the determination of the leaders of the two countries and the two peoples, the long-standing traditional relationship between the Czech Republic and Vietnam will develop more and more, especially in traditional fields such as economy, education, and people-to-people exchanges, bringing practical benefits to the two peoples.

Mr. Jan Bartosek hoped that the city in general and the Prague Club members in particular would actively support and participate in the activities of the Czech Cultural Center after it opened in Hanoi in the coming time. He said that with the joint efforts of both countries, in the coming time, the relationship between the Czech Republic and Vietnam, including Ho Chi Minh City, will develop strongly, especially in areas of mutual interest such as tourism, agriculture, graduate education and training, exchange and cooperation activities to strengthen the friendship between the two peoples./.
