Kon Tum creates all favorable conditions for Japanese partners

He made the statement during his reception for Japanese Consul to Da Nang Yakabe Yoshinori, on October 5.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Tuan congratulated the Japanese Consular Office on being upgraded to a Consulate General in Da Nang, expressing his belief that the opening of the Consulate General will be an important bridge to promote cooperation between Japanese partners and Vietnamese localities, including Kon Tum Province.

At the meeting, he gave an overview of the geographical location, potentials and advantages of socio-economic development in the province, highlighting the potential of developing medicinal herbs, especially Ngoc Linh ginseng; advantages of developing forest economy, high-tech agriculture and tourism.

On this occasion, he said he wished that in the coming time, the Consul General of Japan in Da Nang would be a bridge for Japanese businesses to continue to pay attention to and research and invest in Kon Tum, especially investing in the fields of tourism development and medicinal herbs. He also confirmed that the local authority always creates the most favorable conditions to support Japanese investors and partners to explore opportunities and invest in Kon Tum.

Japanese Consul General Yakabe Yoshinori said that he highly valued the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Japan over the years; appreciated the potentials and advantages of the province in socio-economic development; and therefore, he is especially interested in information about the raw materials, strengths, and industries where the province wants to attract foreign businesses.

Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori emphasized that in his new position, he will make efforts to promote exchange, investment and trade cooperation between Japan and Kon Tum in particular, and the central provinces and cities in general, actively contributing to the development of the good cooperation between Vietnam - Japan in the coming time.

Regarding activities towards the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam in 2023, he added he hoped that Kon Tum would coordinate with the Japanese Consulate General to organize many exchange programs./.
