It is expected that, from the 2023-2024 school year, the province will receive about 120 Lao high school students per year. Accordingly, Lao secondary school graduates from Laos provinces that share a border with Nghe An Province will be accepted to study Vietnamese at Nghe An Pedagogical College for one academic year. After that, students with English ability will be selected to study an advanced high school education program following the trend of international integration at Nghe An Pedagogical Practice School, while the rest will study the high school education program in Nghe An.

Since 2017, Nghe An Province has been receiving and training a total of about 1,200 Lao cadres and students to study at universities and colleges in the province. In August 2022 alone, 210 Lao officials and students were awarded full scholarships and received training by Nghe An Province./.
