Welcoming the Lao province’s delegation on the occasion that the two countries are celebrating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, Secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, emphasized the friendly cooperation relationship between Vinh Phuc and Luong Nam Tha Provinces over the past time, especially the exchange of delegations, cultural exchanges and cooperation in the field of education and training. She also affirmed that these are practical activities of Vinh Phuc in order to further tighten the friendly cooperative relationship between Vinh Phuc and Luong Nam Tha provinces in particular, and between Vietnam and Laos in general.
She informed the delegation some general features of socio-economic development and Party building work of Vinh Phuc. She expressed her wish that, in the coming time, the two provinces would continue to stick to the guidelines of the two Parties and two States, jointly maintain and promote friendly cooperation activities with other countries, including information exchange activities, exchange of delegations; cooperation in supporting human resource training; cooperation in support of the construction of physical and technical infrastructure and further promotion of the cooperation in the fields of investment attraction, trade promotion and tourism.
Mr. Kham Lay Si Pa Sot briefly presented some overview of the Party building and socio-economic development of Luong Nam Tha Province and affirmed that in the coming time, cooperation activities between the two sides will continue to further tighten their traditional friendship and cooperation.
The asserted that the delegation of Luong Nam Tha Province will absorb the lessons of experience in Party building and socio-economic development of Vinh Phuc to apply and make Luang Nam Tha more and more developed. At the same time, Vinh Phuc province will continue to help Luong Nam Tha in many fields, especially human resource training.
On this occasion, representatives of the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding, agreeing on a number of contents on continuing to regularly exchange visits and exchange experiences in socio-economic fields; and strengthening cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism, sports, education, training and human resource development.
Accordingly, Vinh Phuc will continue to support funding for training Lao cadres and foreign students to study at universities and colleges in the area and vice versa, Luang Nam Tha Province will also support training costs for cadres and foreign students for Vinh Phuc Province to study at universities and colleges in Laos according to the actual plan and agreement of the two parties; and continuing to create favorable conditions for businesses of the two provinces to promote cooperation, investment and trade promotion in each locality./.
