Vietnam-Japan relations at best stage of development ever

Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh expressed his pleasure to see that the Vietnam-Japan extensive strategic partnership continues to develop strongly and comprehensively in all fields with high political trust.

During the reception, the Vietnamese Standing Deputy Prime Minister suggested the two countries continue to maintain high-level visits and contacts to bring bilateral relations to a new height, becoming more and more practical and effective.

Vietnam appreciates the ODA and preferential loans of the Japanese Government for Vietnam in the past time, contributing positively to the cause of socio-economic development and poverty reduction in Vietnam, and hopes that Japan will continue to provide ODA to Vietnam in the coming time.

Confirming that the Vietnamese Government is willing to work closely with the Japanese side to jointly remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing ODA projects in Vietnam, he noted that in order to further improve the efficiency of ODA projects, the Vietnamese Government is developing and amending a number of policies in the field of management and use of ODA and preferential loans of donors.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Government and people of Vietnam, he sincerely thanked the Japanese Government and people for actively supporting Vietnam in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, especially the non-refundable aid of 3.58 million doses of vaccines, and medical equipment and supplies.

The Japanese Ambassador thanked the Vietnamese Standing Deputy Prime Minister for spending time for the reception; affirming that Vietnam-Japan relations are at the best stage of development ever, and agreeing that in the coming time, the two countries should strengthen high-level meetings and contacts./.
