Vietnam sends medical supplies to Myanmar

Vietnamese Ambassador to Myanmar Ly Quoc Tuan handed over medical supplies, a gift from the government of Vietnam to Myanmar, to Prof. Zaw Than Htun, Director-General of the Medical Research Department under the Myanmar Ministry of Health and Sports, to help the country fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vietnam presents 20,000 face masks to Argentina

The hand-over ceremony was held at Yangon International Airport on October 15.

The gift includes 325,000 face masks, worth 20,000 USD.

The Myanmar side thanked the government of Vietnam for timely supporting Myanmar while the country is facing a shortage of medical supplies.

On the same day, Ho Chi Minh City, which has a twinning relationship with Myanmar’s Yangon region, presented more than 13,000 face masks to Myanmar.

On October 14, Ambassador Chu Cong Phung, President of the Vietnam -Myanmar Friendship Association, handed over 540 million VND and 42 boxes of medical supplies to the Myanmar Embassy in Vietnam./.
