The contest aims to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the traditional day of students and the Vietnam Student Association (January 9, 1950 - January 9, 2022).

The organizing board presented the first prize to Nguyen Thi Thuan, a student from Faculty of Italy, Hanoi University; the second prize to Mai Nguyen Tuong, a student from Dong Nai University; and 4 consolation prizes.

2021 is the first year the contest has been held but it has attracted more than 250 contestants. The rounds of the contest are about the knowledge of culture, history, geography of Italy. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 contest was held on Zoom platform.

The contest aims to inspire Vietnamese students who wish to learn about the culture, country, people and education of Italy. At the same time, it helps bring the message "Italian Dream" closer to Vietnamese students, as well as further promote friendship between the two cultures of Vietnam and Italy.

The contest is modeled on the contest "Road to Olympia" - the most famous educational TV game show of Vietnam Television, familiar to generations of Vietnamese students over the past 20 years.

The contest is sponsored by the Vietnamese Embassy in Rome, the Italian Embassy in Hanoi, the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnamese Entrepreneur Association in Italy and the Italian - Vietnamese Mutual Aid Association.

"Road to Italy" is the first important event officially organized by ASVI in collaboration with the Vietnam Student Association Central Committee, as well as ASVI’s first diplomatic program that is not open to Vietnamese students in Italy but to students in Vietnam and abroad who have an interest and love for the culture and education of Italy, in order to arouse inspiration and promote studying abroad in Italy to the public./.
