290 Vietnamese citizens brought home safely from Czech Republic

As many as 290 Vietnamese citizens were brought home safely from the Czech Republic on a flight of Bamboo Airways on November 21 and 22.

The flight was conducted by Vietnamese authorities, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic, Bamboo Airways and relevant authorities of the host country.

The passengers included children under 18, the elderly, the illnesses, students who completed their studies, workers with expired contracts, and others in extremely disadvantaged circumstances.

The Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic sent staff to the airport to support the citizens with check-in procedures before boarding.

During the flight, safety and preventive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic were strictly carried out to protect the passengers’ health and prevent the spread of the disease.

All passengers and crew members received medical check-ups and were sent to quarantine sites in line with regulations right after the flight landed at the Can Tho international airport.

More repatriation flight will be conducted in the coming time to bring home more Vietnamese citizens in disadvantaged circumstances abroad in line with their wishes, the developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, and quarantine capacity at home./.
