The Vietnam - Japan Sports and Cultural Exchange Association (FAVIJA) recently organized a press conference and a draw in Tokyo to fix the table of the charity football tournament “FAVIJA CHARITY CUP 2022”, to raise funds to build Dai An Pagoda for the Vietnamese community in Japan.

The tournament is under the auspices and companionship of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan.

With the participation of more than 50 amateur teams of overseas Vietnamese selected from nearly 100 registered teams, 12 tables of 4 to 5 teams each will compete in the qualifying round that will take place from April 3 - 10. The 32 best teams in the qualifying round will compete in the final round on April 17 at the Omiya Kenpo Sports Complex in Saitama city.

The tournament is not only a sports playground for health training, community exchanges, and promotion of close friendship between overseas Vietnamese and local people, but it also has a profound humanistic significance. Through the tournament, the organizers will launch charity donations to build a Vietnamese pagoda in the heart of Tokyo./.
