Deputy Foreign Minister sends congratulatory letter to Professor Nguyen Thi Kim Thanh

Deputy Foreign Minister Pham Quang Hieu, Chairman of the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese (SCOV), sent his best wishes to Professor Nguyen Thi Kim Thanh, an overseas Vietnamese in the UK, on ​​the occasion that she was presented an interdisciplinary award for significant contributions to scientific research and innovation.

"Being awarded this prestigious award is a great honor for the Professor and a worthy recognition for the Professor's enthusiastic contributions in promoting scientific research and innovation, in dedication to the development of world science. This is also the pride of the overseas Vietnamese community,” he wrote in the letter.

Professor Nguyen Thi Kim Thanh, who is working at UCL University in the UK, is a scientist in nanotechnology research and application. She was the former President of the Vietnamese Intellectuals Association in the UK and Ireland and is the President of the Vietnam Young Academy.

Over the past years, Professor Nguyen Thi Kim Thanh and members have implemented many meaningful programs and activities in many fields, contributing to building a bridge connecting domestic scientists with overseas Vietnamese experts and scientists.

Deputy Minister Pham Quang Hieu affirmed that the SCOV greatly appreciates the Professor's persistent efforts over the past years and hopes that she will continue to be a source of motivation to encourage generations of young overseas Vietnamese intellectuals with love for the homeland and the spirit of dedication to the country./.
