During a meeting with Governor of Port Said province Adel El Ghadban, Ambassador Nguyen Huy Dung reviewed some of Vietnam's economic achievements in recent times and expressed his impression of the development of Port Said city, especially industrial zones.
The Ambassador proposed a number of measures to strengthen Vietnam-Egypt relations, especially with Port Said province in the context that the two countries will celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2023, such as organizing Vietnam Day in Egypt and signing a twinning agreement with a port city of Vietnam.
He said that industrial parks in Port Said province and preferential policies of industrial parks for foreign investors make Port Said a potential destination for Vietnamese businesses and investors.
Governor Adel El Ghadban congratulated Ambassador Nguyen Huy Dung on his new assignment in Egypt and recalled the good friendship between Vietnam and Egypt in history.
Welcoming and agreeing with the Ambassador's proposals on a number of measures to strengthen Vietnam-Egypt relations in Port Said province, Governor Adel El Ghadban emphasized a number of fields in which the two sides can cooperate, such as: culture, commerce and industry.
Industrial parks in Port Said province always welcome and create the best conditions for foreign businesses and investors, including Vietnamese businesses.
Governor Adel El Ghadban also proposed to hold a Business Connection Forum with the Port Said Provincial Chamber of Commerce this year.
Previously, Ambassador Nguyen Huy Dung worked with the General Director of South Port Said Industrial Park and visited a number of factories in the industrial park.
