Hanoi instructs immigrants to register for quarantine at hotels

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Official Dispatch 4436/UBNDKGVX on admission of Vietnamese citizens immigrating from abroad in the concentrated isolation ​​hotels with fees, according to Hanoi’s Department of Health.

All Vietnamese citizens, after entering through Noi Bai International Airport, are transported to the city's concentrated isolated areas, managed by the army and tested for SARS-CoV-2.

In cases having test results negative for SARS-CoV-2, if they wish to isolate at the hotel with fee, if the organization or individual has registered in advance with hotel reservation and confirmation (hotels are licensed for concentrated isolation organization for COVID-19 prevention and control), they are allowed to move to quarantine at the registered hotel.

Organizations or individuals who have not booked a hotel room, should contact the concentrated quarantine management board for instructions and will directly apply at the concentrated quarantine area.

Previously, at a meeting of the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control in Hanoi, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council, suggested the city's Steering Committee for pandemic prevention and control should have more specific solutions; especially when reopening commercial routes, as the number of people monitored and isolated will increase.

Specialized sectors such as health, army and public security need to have full information to have active plans appropriate for the real situation.

In addition, it is necessary to prepare conditions for materials; task assignment; assess quarantine fee collection as well as the safety conditions for the quarantine area at hotels./.
