Ho Chi Minh City strengthens connection with Vietnamese community in RoK

From July 1-6, the delegation of the Committee on Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) led by Ms. Dinh Thi Phuong Thao, Vice Chairwoman of the committee paid a working visit to the Republic of Korea (RoK).

The visit aims to find out the life and aspirations of the Vietnamese community living and working in RoK, originating and related to HCMC, especially in the localities having twinning with HCMC such as: Busan city, Daegu city, Seoul city, Incheon city, Gangwon province, Gyeongsanbuk province and Gyeonggi province.

The delegation will be supported and guided overseas Vietnamese in RoK to participate in the work of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the host country, aiming to build a strong Overseas Vietnamese Association; strengthen the connection between the Committee on Overseas Vietnamese in HCMC and the overseas Vietnamese associations in RoK.

At the same time, the delegation also communicates guidelines, policies and specific mechanism of HCMC to Vietnamese people in RoK,

At the same time, communications specific guidelines, policies and mechanisms of HCMC to overseas Vietnamese in RoK, maintain contact and connect information between overseas Vietnamese and entrepreneurs’ organizations and businesses in HCMC with cities with a large number of Vietnamese people in RoK, promoting cooperation relationships, calling for investment in the fields of interest of the city.

In addition, the delegation also introduces and promotes the image of HCMC to the overseas Vietnamese community in RoK with the spirit of solidarity, friendship, mutual understanding, creating a foundation for development cooperation between HCMC and major cities of RoK./.
