This year's event attracted nearly 50 foreign representative agencies in the diplomatic corps in the Czech Republic, including Vietnam. Many traditional Vietnamese dishes were displayed and introduced to thousands of delegates and visitors to the festival.
This is also the 5th consecutive time the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic has participated in this meaningful event. This year, Vietnam’s booths were elaborately decorated with many typical images of Vietnamese culture. This is an opportunity to introduce Vietnam's cuisine, culture and tourism to a large number of visitors.
“I think this is a very good opportunity to introduce the culinary culture of Vietnam, and to help us better integrate into the local social community,” Ambassador Thai Xuan Dung shared.
A special feature at this festival is that the tour guides and chefs who prepare traditional dishes are mainly spouses of the diplomatic staff of countries in the Czech Republic.
Impressed about the fair and Vietnamese dishes, Ms. Radka Holeckova, a Czech resident, shared “I am very passionate about Vietnamese food with rich flavors, different from traditional Czech and European dishes, which is very interesting”.
Held since 2016 and initiated by the Prague 6 district, the festival is an activity to unite diplomatic missions in the Czech Republic. This is also an opportunity to exchange and promote the culture, customs, country and people of each country, as well as create an opportunity to unite more with local people and international friends living and working in the Czech Republic.
At this festival, representatives of countries also introduced the unique features of their traditional culture with extremely attractive art performances.
Due to the framework of the one-day festival, many visitors expressed regret that they did not have enough time to enjoy all the dishes and flavors of the countries participating in the event./.
