Japanese businesses support Vietnamese citizens facing difficulties amid COVID-19 pandemic

Mr. Satou Takashi, President of Advance Co., Ltd., on September 7 in Tokyo gave a symbolic gift to Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam of the amount that the company contributed to support Vietnamese people who are facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan.

Vietnamese in Japan together overcome COVID-19

Speaking at the reception ceremony, Ambassador Vu Hong Nam sincerely thanked the Advance Company for its precious gift to the Vietnamese community in Japan, and pledged to use this money effectively to help the Vietnamese people facing difficulties because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ambassador said that this amount of money will be disbursed through the Vietnamese Intellectuals Association in Japan under the close supervision of the Embassy.

In addition, he also highly appreciated the programs that Advance Company has implemented in recent years to help employees and students from Vietnamese universities to have the opportunity to work in Japan, and expressed his hope that the company will continue to help Vietnamese employees to have a favorable working environment and create more opportunities for Vietnamese students to Japan to learn and gain experience.

For his part, Mr. Satou Takashi, President of Advance Company, said that the company was established in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1995 and mainly operates in the telecommunications sector.

However, since 2017, the company has established a global human resources department specializing in the introduction of personnel between Vietnam and Japan.

So far, the company has signed cooperation agreements with more than 10 of Vietnam’s universities to bring students to Japan for probation for about 1 year.

After finishing the internship program, Vietnamese students will be introduced to work for Japanese companies according to their trained fields.

“We hope that the company's small support will contribute to helping Vietnamese people in Japan reduce difficulties during the current pandemic period," Mr. Satoh Takashi said in an interview with the Vietnam News Agency correspondent.

In addition to Advance Company, from the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic to now, many Japanese businesses have supported Vietnamese people who are facing difficulties because of the COVID-19 pandemic in this country in various forms, such as money, food, foodstuff or shelter./.
