Tet is the largest traditional festival of the Vietnamese people.

At the handover ceremony held at the Ha Tien international border gate, Director of Kien Giang province’s Department of Foreign Affairs Van Cong Dau congratulated the overseas Vietnamese on welcoming the lunar New Year, and wished them happiness, health and success in overcoming difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, emphasizing that the province always pays attention to taking care of Vietnamese-Cambodians.

Vietnamese Consul General in Preah Sihanouk province Vu Ngoc Ly expressed his thanks to the people and leaders of Kien Giang province, and added that the gifts of the province are very timely and significant, contributing to help overseas Vietnamese in Cambodia to feel secure and stabilize their lives.

He added that in August and September, the Vietnamese-Cambodian people had received prompt support in terms of equipment and foodstuff from compatriots at home.

This is the fifth time Kien Giang province has presented gifts to support the overseas Vietnamese community in Southwest region of Cambodia, since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020./.
