Mid-Autumn Festival held for Vietnamese children in Hungary

The Mid-Autumn Festival 2022 was organized by the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Hungary with the participation of nearly 2,000 people, including more than 1,000 children and grandchildren of the Vietnamese community in the country.

During the festival, which was suspended two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a series of activities and traditional games of Vietnam were organized, such as tug of war, having fun with Vietnamese language, making conical hats, procession of lanterns, and art performances, which attracted not only children but also adults as well as many Hungarian people.

In addition, Vietnamese cuisine with traditional dishes fried spring rolls, spring rolls and sweet soup received the attention of visitors and was an important highlight at the festival.

On this occasion, the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Hungary and the department in charge of community affairs of the Embassy also awarded 95 students of the Vietnamese community for excellent achievements in the school year 2021-2022.

Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Thao attended the festival and sent greetings to all children in the Vietnamese community in Hungary, wishing them to strive to study well and be obedient, and look toward the national roots.

This year's Mid-Autumn Festival with a record number of participants has contributed to connecting the Vietnamese community in Hungary, helping expatriates feel the taste of the homeland and overseas Vietnamese children understand the good traditions of the Vietnamese people.

The festival also attracted the attention of a large number of people, while local press and media come to report and promote the beautiful images of Vietnamese culture./.
