Music performance to serve overseas Vietnamese in Budapest

The event is in the framework of the art tour to serve overseas Vietnamese in Hungary and Morocco on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Cat 2023 from February 2 to 12, 2023, according to the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese. The performance in Budapest is the first stop of the art troupe.

The program has artists from the Military Song and Dance Theater, the art troupe of Military Zone 2 and the Art Performance Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The event was attended by representatives of Hungarian authorities, Hungary – Vietnam Friendship Association and representatives of ASEAN countries and overseas Vietnamese in Hungary and neighboring countries.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary and Croatia Nguyen Thi Bich Thao reviewed some achievements in diplomatic relations and friendship Vietnam gained over the past time. She affirmed that the overseas Vietnamese community in Hungary and Croatia has had activities to spread, connect and together integrate in the local society.       

According to Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Thao, the art program is a special spiritual gift from the homeland for overseas Vietnamese on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of Vietnam – Hungary diplomatic relations (February 3, 1950 - February 3, 2023) and 5 years of upgrading the comprehensive partnership between the two countries.

The program left a good impression in the hearts of the community and was also praised by international friends./.
