Passengers included children under 18 years old, the elderly, pregnant women, the ill, workers whose labour contracts have expired, students without accommodation due to dormitory closure, and others in difficult circumstances.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia sent its staff to the airport to support the citizens with check-in procedures.

Right after landing at Can Tho International Airport, all the crew members and passengers were given medical check-ups and put under quarantine in line with current regulations.

More repatriation flights will be conducted by Vietnamese authorities to bring Vietnamese citizens home, depending on their demand and quarantine capacity at home./.
