The flight was arranged by domestic agencies and representative offices in the US and Vietnam Airlines, in coordination with the relevant US agencies.

The passengers include children aged under 18, students having completed their studies, and workers with expired visas and labour contracts.

The Vietnamese Consulate Generals in the US and Japan sent officials to the airports to help citizens complete all necessary procedures before boarding.

Security, safety and hygiene measures were strictly applied during the flight to ensure health for citizens and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

After landing at Cam Ranh International Airport in Khanh Hoa province, all flight crew and passengers had their body temperatures checked and were quarantined as regulated.

Under the Prime Minister’s direction, more flights will be arranged to bring overseas Vietnamese home depending on the citizens’ need and the country’s quarantine capacity./.
