The agreement signing was conducted on the occasion of the VKBIA delegation led by Mr. Tran Hai Linh, member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and VKBIA President, visiting and working in Jeju province.
In the field of education and training, VKBIA signed a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive cooperation with Jeju International University in order to train qualified and skilled human resources with Korean cultural and linguistic understanding to meet the demands of FDI enterprises, supporting industries, high-tech agricultural production and other fields in which the two countries have need.
VKBIA and Jeju International University will simultaneously develop and build an education and training system; building education and training programs for lecturers for Vietnam, specializing in Korean culture and language, and cooperating with universities and colleges in Vietnam that are partners of VKBIA to build training programs which grant parallel Korean degrees, sending Korean lecturers to teach together and sending Korean students to Vietnam for training.
In the field of tourism development, VKBIA signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Pacific Tour Inc, a large and experienced travel agency of Jeju province.
In the near future, VKBIA and Pacific Tour Inc. will implement programs to restore, promote and develop tourism between Vietnam and RoK and other countries.
In the field of labour recruitment and job introduction, VKBIA has signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with the Taeyang Agriculture and Agricultural Products Import-Export Corporation of Jeju province on introducing and recruiting seasonal and skillful labourers in the fields of agriculture, forestry and fishery; and at the same time developing import and export cooperation of agricultural and aquatic products, and wood products.
According to Mr. Tran Hai Linh, Vietnam and RoK have made strong development steps during the past 30 years and are actively preparing for the 30th anniversary of Vietnam – RoK diplomatic relations (December 22, 1992 - December 22, 2022).
RoK is currently an important strategic cooperation partner of Vietnam and the two countries are making efforts to take the relationship to a new level./.
