This is an activity in response to the call "Millions of compassionate hearts towards the Fatherland" and the campaign "All people unite, make efforts to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic" launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the SCOV.

At the reception ceremony, Deputy Minister Pham Quang Hieu, Chairman of the SCOV, highly appreciated and expressed his respect to the good feelings of the overseas Vietnamese in the above countries and territories for their specific and practical contributions to share with the compatriots in the country in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Buddhist nun Thich Nu Gioi Tanh, Director of the Vietnamese Buddhist Cultural Centre in RoK and President of the Vietnamese Buddhist Association in RoK, said that the centre has had many practical activities to support the homeland during the COVID-19 pandemic and support domestic people to overcome the consequences of floods in the Central region over the past time. The centre receives the attention and trust of the Vietnamese community in RoK and the local community, and is a bridge that positively contributes to the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and RoK.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Thanh, representative of the Vietnamese community in Germany’s Freising, said that there are more than 200 Vietnamese families in Freising. They are always interested in preserving the traditional cultural values of the nation; although the gift this time is not big, it shows the hearts and feelings of the people who are always looking towards their homeland./.
