Overseas Vietnamese donate three houses to poor families in Tien Giang province

The Committee on Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) said that it has just coordinated with the Department of Foreign Affairs of Tien Giang province to hand over three great solidarity houses in Go Cong Dong district and Go Cong town.

In order to promote the spirit of great national unity, share, and reduce difficulties for poor households to have stable housing, in early 2022, the Committee on Overseas Vietnamese in HCMC mobilized funding from the Steve Bui and Friends Foundation, Ms. Le Thi My Chau, an overseas Vietnamese in the US and Mr. Dinh Vinh Cuong, Chairman of Yamato - 365 Group, to support poor households with housing difficulties in Tien Giang province.

On July 25, the first great solidarity house was presented to Mrs. Le Thi Phuc's family in Go Cong Dong district with 60 million VND, supported by the Steve Bui and Friends Foundation, and the remaining contributed by the family.

The second house has been handed over to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy’s family in Go Cong town with 60 million VND funded by Ms. Le Thi My Chau and the remaining is contributed by the family.

On the same day, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Diem’s family in Go Cong town was also handed over a great solidarity house funded by Mr. Dinh Vinh Cuong, Chairman of Yamato - 365 Group, with 60 million VND through the fund for the poor in Long Hung commune, and the remaining is contributed by the family./.
