Overseas Vietnamese in China celebrate Lunar New Year of Cat 2023

The Vietnamese Embassy in China on January 9 held an intimate meeting with representatives of the Vietnamese community living, studying and working in China on the eve of the Lunar New Year of the Cat 2023.

Speaking at the meeting held in Beijing, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai highlighted the socio-economic and diplomatic achievements of the country as well as new strides in relations between Vietnam and China in 2022.
The Ambassador affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam always consider overseas Vietnamese as an integral part of the nation.
He emphasized that the embassy has paid special attention to overseas Vietnamese affairs, assists overseas Vietnamese, works to protect their rights and legitimate interests, and coordinates with Chinese authorities to help them settle down and integrate into local society.
Ambassador Mai expressed his hope that the Vietnamese community in China will continue to uphold solidarity, maintain national identity, and contribute to the homeland and friendship between the two countries./.
