The Vietnamese Buddhist Cultural Center in the Republic of Korea (RoK) and the Vietnamese Buddhist Association in RoK organized a meeting in Seoul city to welcome the New Year 2022 and celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Tiger to strengthen the Vietnam-RoK friendship.

The event this year was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to RoK Nguyen Vu Tung; Mr. Lee Seung-ro, Head of Seoul city’s Seongbuk-gu; and Ms. Kim Chun-Rye, Representative of the Committee of Culture, Sports and Tourism under the Seoul City Council.
The presence of the delegates shows the interest of the local administration for Vietnamese culture and the Vietnamese community in RoK.
In spite of the context of pandemic prevention, the Seoul government created conditions to organize this meaningful event. The ceremony took place in a joyful atmosphere of warm friendship between the two nations.
At the event, all attendees prayed for a peaceful new spring and New Year to all people over the world.
On this occasion, songs and dances imbued with traditional identity of Vietnam were also performed./.
