According to the Deputy Governor, the amount of remittances sent through credit institutions is about 7%, remittance companies 28%, and 2% by post.

He said that despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, overseas Vietnamese also faced many difficulties, but still pay attention to and look toward the homeland. This is a very important source of capital in difficult conditions as Vietnam is in need of investment capital.

Previously, the World Bank (WB) and the Global Knowledge Partnership on Migration and Development (KNOMAD) forecast that Vietnam ranks eighth in the world and third in the Asia-Pacific region in terms of remittances in 2021./.
