Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ha Van Canh, Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Xieng Khouang province, said that the great requiem ceremony not only aims to pay tribute to fallen Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts as well as Laotian martyrs, but it is also an opportunity for the young generations of the two countries to better understand the value of peace, know more about the sacrifice of the Vietnamese army to help the Lao revolution, and contribute to educating the special meaning of the Laos-Vietnam relationship for the young generation and continue to make efforts to cultivate this relationship.

According to the Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Xieng Khouang province, the overseas Vietnamese community in the province is expected to coordinate with the Xieng Khouang provincial government to organize the great requiem ceremony every year./.
