A delegation of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia led by Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi paid a working visit to Krasnodar province in Southern Russia, called the wheat basket of Russia, from August 9-11.

Within the framework of the working visit, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi and the delegation of the Embassy met and worked with leaders of the province and Krasnodar city. At working sessions with Mr. Alexander Ruppel, Deputy Governor of Krasnodar province, on August 10 and Acting Mayor of Krasnodar city, Maxim Slyusarev, on August 11, the two sides discussed the prospect of economic cooperation between Vietnam and Krasnodar, and agreed to jointly make efforts to promote cooperation through practical and effective measures, suitable to the potentials and strengths of the two sides, especially in the fields of agricultural products, food processing, textiles and wood processing.
Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi expressed his willingness to promote and organize online and face-to-face discussion forums between businesses of the two countries so that they could learn about each other's strengths.
The Ambassador also sincerely thanked the local authorities for creating conditions for the Vietnamese community to live and do business and desired the local government to continue to create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community so that they can contribute more to local socio-economic achievements. He affirmed that the Vietnamese community in Krasnodar is a very united community that fully complies with local laws and always considers Krasnodar its second homeland. The Ambassador also invited representatives of Krasnodar province and city to visit Vietnam to have the opportunity to directly discuss with Vietnamese businesses.
For his part, the Deputy Governor of the province, Mr. Ruppel, said that he was ready to create conditions for Vietnamese businesses to invest or promote import and export with the province. Meanwhile, Acting Mayor Slyusarev offered to help twinning with a city of Vietnam.
Within the framework of the visit, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi and the delegation visited an industrial park in Krasnodar city, confectionery factory, noodle, bread and mushroom producers.
Previously, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi and the delegation met with the Vietnamese community living and doing business in Krasnodar province, and visited a number of economic establishments invested by Vietnamese people./.
