Series of cultural exchange activities between Vietnam and RoK held in Hanoi

The Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese (ALOV) and the Vietnamese Buddhist Cultural Centre based in the Republic of Korea (RoK) will organize many cultural exchange activities between Vietnam and RoK in Hanoi.

The program will be organized under the auspices of the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Vietnam-RoK diplomatic relations, respond to the day honoring the Vietnamese language in the overseas Vietnamese community, and celebrate the National Congress of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS).

The opening ceremony will be held on November 20 at the International Convention Center in Hanoi with activities such as Vietnam – RoK cultural exchange; talkshow on the topic of Vietnam-RoK Culture; presenting a series of reportages in response to "the day honoring Vietnamese language in the overseas Vietnamese community"; fashion show of the Vietnamese traditional long dress (Ao dai) and traditional costumes of RoK; performing Vietnamese Buddhist dharma dress; and honoring organizations and individuals who have contributed to the community and society on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Vietnam-RoK diplomatic relations.

This is a program with many values, profound humanistic significance, imprinted with the values of Vietnamese culture and Vietnamese Buddhist culture.

The event will spread the good values of Vietnamese and Korean culture; affirming the position and growth of Vietnamese Buddhism in RoK and the relationship between the two countries, and at the same time contributing to promoting the cultural, economic and political development between the two countries, tightening the relationship between the two countries./.
