The flight was arranged by Vietnamese authorities, the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, Vietnam Airlines and relevant authorities of Thailand.

The passengers included children under 18, the elderly, people with illnesses, pregnant women, and others in disadvantaged circumstances.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand sent staff to the airport to help the citizens with procedures before departure.

During the flight, Vietnam Airlines applied security, safety and hygiene measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Right after landing at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, all the crew members and passengers on the flight were given medical checkups and put under quarantine in line with regulations.

In the coming time, more repatriation flights will be arranged to bring home Vietnamese citizens, depending on their demand and domestic quarantine capacity./.
