Vietnam Airlines brings home nearly 350 Vietnamese citizens from UAE, India

A Vietnam Airlines flight transported nearly 350 Vietnamese citizens from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India to the homeland on December 7-8.

Close to 240 Vietnamese citizens in Philippines brought home

The flight was arranged by domestic Vietnamese authorities, Vietnamese Embassies in UAE and India, Vietnam Airlines, related agencies of the two host countries.

Passengers on the flight included children under 18 years old, the elderly, pregnant women, workers with expired visa and labour contracts, and other especially disadvantaged cases.

During the flight, safety and preventive measures against COVID-19 pandemic were applied strictly to protect the passengers’ health and prevent the spread of the disease.

Right after landing at Cam Ranh international airport in Khanh Hoa province, all passengers and crew members received medical checkups and were sent to quarantine sites in line with regulations.

In the coming time, more repatriation flight will be conducted to bring home Vietnamese citizens in disadvantaged circumstances abroad in line with their wishes, the developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, and quarantine capacity at home./.
