Vietnam and Argentina strengthen cultural exchanges through musical bridges

Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina Duong Quoc Thanh on August 3 had a meeting with Mr. Jorge Telerman, Director of Colon Theater, to discuss forms of music exchange and activities to prepare for the 50th anniversary of Vietnam – Argentina diplomatic relations in 2023.

Mr. Telerman expressed his deep affection for Vietnamese culture and people as well as Vietnamese music in particular, adding that Colon Theater is ready to cooperate with Vietnamese theaters through various forms of student exchange, the troupes performing symphony music, ballet, opera and inviting famous Vietnamese artists to perform with his theater orchestra.
Director of Colon Theater also wishes to have the opportunity to visit Vietnam to discuss with colleagues about cooperation programs.
The Vietnamese Ambassador affirmed that he will quickly connect Colon Theater with Vietnamese theaters to further promote musical exchanges between the two countries.
The Colon Theater with nearly 3,000 seats is considered by National Geographic magazine as one of the ten best opera houses in the world and is a favorite performance site for the world's top orchestras and classical singers./.
