Vietnam family day held in Belgium

Many Vietnamese families in Brussels and in the surrounding areas, on October 25, gathered at the Cultural Center of Woluwe Saint-Lambert district in the capital of Brussels to attend the Vietnam family day in Belgium.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg Pham Sanh Chau, who is also the head of Vietnam Mission to the European Union, praised the initiative of the General Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Belgium for organizing a day to bring Vietnamese families together, including families in which husband or wife is not Vietnamese.

The Ambassador emphasized that the various activities of the festival would contribute to strengthening solidarity among overseas Vietnamese in Belgium together towards the country.

Mr. Huynh Cong My, head of the General Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Belgium, said that Vietnam family day in Belgium aimed to enhance the spiritual life of overseas Vietnamese in Belgium as well as uphold traditional cultural values of the homeland.

Vietnam family day had many activities such as cooking competition and cultural activities attracting many families participation./.
