Vietnam’s August Revolution and National Day celebrated in Japan

An event was organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan on August 20 to celebrate the 77th anniversary of August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2022) and National Day (September 2).

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam highlighted the significance of the historical events, and reviewed Vietnam’s achievements in the process of national construction and development over the past 77 years.

The Vietnam – Japan relations have developed constantly and are now at the best ever since the bilateral diplomatic ties were established in 1973, he said.

The ambassador also called upon the Vietnamese community in Japan to contribute more to the national construction and development, as well as the relations between the two countries.

The Vietnamese community in Japan has over 430,000 Vietnamese, forming the second biggest foreign community in Japan, after China.

On this occasion, the diplomat presented certificates of merit to six collectives and 32 individuals in recognition of their contributions to the Vietnamese community in Japan./.
