The working delegation of the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran, led by Ambassador Luong Quoc Huy, visited and worked in Isfahan province from April 28 to May 2.
Within the framework of the visit, Ambassador Luong Quoc Huy had meetings with Isfahan Province Governor Seyyed Reza Mortazavi, Isfahan City Mayor Ali Ghasemzadeh, Head of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce Mohammad Reza Rejali; and attended the Business Forum on trade and investment opportunities between Vietnam and Isfahan province with the participation of more than 30 businesses in the province.
During the meetings, the leaders of Isfahan province introduced Isfahan's strengths and great economic potential, expressed their desire and willingness to promote cooperation with Vietnam and localities of Vietnam in many fields such as: tourism, healthcare, pharmacy, science and technology, export of petrochemical products and agricultural products.
The leader of Isfahan province reiterated the request with the Ambassador about promoting connection and twinning with Ho Chi Minh City. (This request was raised by the leader of Isfahan province to Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong during his visit to Iran from December 3-6, 2022).
Highly appreciating Isfahan's rich history, culture, people and economic capacity, Ambassador Luong Quoc Huy affirmed that he will make efforts to promote relations between localities of Vietnam and Isfahan province, practically contributing to promoting Vietnam-Iran relations, especially in the context of 2023 as the two countries solemnly celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations (August 4, 1973 - August 4, 2023).
At the Business Forum on trade and investment opportunities between Vietnam and Isfahan province, Ambassador Luong Quoc Huy and businesses in the province discussed the cooperation potential between local businesses and Vietnamese enterprises, difficulties and obstacles and measures in order to strengthen cooperation between the two sides, especially in the fields of tourism, culture and people-to-people exchanges./.
