The information was announced by the Consular Department under the Foreign Ministry.

A FAN ID is a mandatory document for all spectators of UEFA EURO 2020 matches in Saint Petersburg (Russia) in 2021.

The Consular Department said that many Vietnamese citizens using Fan IDs have been denied entry to Russia and deported because they using the document for the wrong purpose or failing to prove that they travel to Russia to watch the football tournament.

Vietnamese citizens should thoroughly study Russia’s regulations about entry-exit, residence registration and air tickets, as well as banned activities when travelling to the country, the department emphasized.
