To celebrate the New Year 2023 and the Lunar New Year of the Cat, the Vietnamese community in Romania organized a series of activities, marking the beginning of a promising year, after overcoming many difficulties and challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the impact of conflicts, the risk of crisis, rising inflation and so on. On January 19, a delegation of the Vietnamese Embassy visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese citizens serving prison sentences in Romania, encouraging them to well abide by local regulations in order to have their prison sentence reduced, recording their individual aspirations and working with Romanian authorities to request consideration of their aspirations.
