Vietnamese community in Russia’s Krasnodar city unite to overcome difficulties

A delegation from the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia led by Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi has visited Vietnamese people in Krasnodar city in southern Russia.

During the working visit held on August 6, the delegation visited some commercial facilities, a market where many overseas Vietnamese do business, and Royal City Mall - a trade centre built and owned by Vietnamese people.

Talking to the delegation, Do Minh Chanh, Chairman of the Overeas Vietnamese People Association in Krasnodar, said that there are about 100 Vietnamese families with over 500 members and 30 Vietnamese students in Krasnodar at present.

According to him, they usually organized community activities to enhance solidarity before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, adding that Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine had been affecting their business and daily activities.

Ambassador Khoi thanked the Vietnamese community in Krasnodar for assisting the compatriots stranded in the south and east of Ukraine to return to their homeland via Russia. He also appreciated their contributions to Vietnam’s fight against COVID-19.

During the working visit, he informed the overseas Vietnamese about Vietnam’s recent successes while analyzing the impact of the current world situation, especially Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.

The ambassador highly valued the community’s solidarity, asking them to uphold this tradition to surmount difficulties.

At the meeting, Ambassador Khoi also answered questions from the community and wished them more success, development, and contributions to the homeland./.
