Recently, members of the Women's Association of the Engineer Team and the Youth Union of the Vietnamese Engineer Team No.1 have promoted support activities to plant agricultural crops for people in Abyei. From the first small garden at the Abyei High School, the tree-planting area in the school and surrounding areas has now expanded, increasing verdant patches to the arid red soil of Abyei.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Tuyen, Politician of the Engineers Team, the techniques and experience of growing agricultural crops shared by the women of the Women's Association of the Engineers Team, have been applied by teachers and students of the Abyei High School into planting green vegetables and fruits to help improve meals at the school.

Previously, the teachers and students of the Abyei High School visited the garden of the Engineers Team and learned the farming experience. After sessions to gain experience, local teachers and students together prepared and enjoyed some dishes from vegetables harvested from the garden.

The green vegetable garden in a corner of the Engineer Team's barracks has received the admiration of international delegations and local people coming to visit, contributing to spreading the good image of Vietnamese women, of the Vietnamese People's Army to the people in South Sudan./.
