The donations were carried out from June 28 to July 28 in response to the appeal of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Sydney, Australia.
According to the Consulate General of Vietnam in Sydney, that the funding was transferred to the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee on July 29.
Of the sum, the overseas Vietnamese community in New Caledonia donated 9,620 AUD, Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Association in Sydney 10,650 AUD, Australian-based Spire Property group 10,000 AUD, and the Vietnamese Students Association in Australia 1,300 AUD.
The meaningful support came timely, reflecting the sharing tradition of Vietnamese and becoming a source of encouragement for those in Vietnam to soon overcome the pandemic, said the Consulate General.
In the coming time, the Consulate General continues receiving more donations for the fight against the COVID-19 at home./.
