The idea of publishing a bilingual book is from Tam Le, one of founders of TinyWrist, who wants to teach Vietnamese language and culture to her children. However, this Vietnamese-American mother found that there are many books for children in the US, but none in Vietnamese.

Tam decided to call on the overseas Vietnamese community to raise funds to publish bilingual books. Thanks to their efforts, in six months, two books “The colors of Tet” and “Ten chidren’s songs” have been published, becoming a special gift for Vietnamese expatriates and generations of Vietnamese people abroad.

The TinyWrist group has printed and released two bilingual books in the US and some other countries such as the UK and Canada. The two books have been well received and appreciated by the overseas Vietnamese community, as being exactly what overseas Vietnamese parents are looking for. The books also help children in Vietnam learn English and love Vietnamese culture more.

While the book “The colors of Tet” teaches children the symbols of Vietnamese traditional Tet including: Chung cake, peach tree, kumquat tree, and traditional customs during the festival, the book of “Ten children’s songs” includes many of Vietnam’s traditional folk songs about animals, family and folk games.

In addition to books, the group also refreshes familiar Vietnamese children's songs to the 8X and 9X generations with piano sounds and clear vocals. The purpose of the group is to introduce and arouse love for the national culture to the young Vietnamese generation, wherever they live.

In the coming time, the group will release a set of books to welcome the Mid-Autumn Festival and New Year Festival, and complete a familiar children's music album.

TinyWrist was established in 2020 with the participation of overseas Vietnamese abroad. They are editors, musicians and artists who love and care about Vietnam and cultural heritage of the country./.
