Vietnamese traditional long dress introduced in Venezuela

The Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela on October 20 coordinated with the National Experimental University of the Armed Forces (UNEFA) of Venezuela to celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day and exhibit Vietnamese traditional long dress (Ao Dai) at UNEFA.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of Asia, Middle East and Oceania Capaya Rodriguez expressed her admiration for the heroic Vietnamese country and people who have gone through many struggles for independence and freedom of the nation, as well as for the extraordinary energy in construction and development of the country.

Recalling the memories of her visit to Vietnam in July 2022, Ms. Rodriguez also recounted stories of love and admiration, and highly appreciated the role of Vietnamese women for making positive contributions to the struggle and defense of the country and building a rich, beautiful and prosperous Vietnam.

Mr. Pascualino Angiolillo, UNEFA Rector, also expressed his admiration for Vietnamese women, affirming that Vietnamese women are not only mothers, wives and housewives in families, but they are also talented female generals making great contributions to the struggle to protect the country, gain national independence, protect and build the country.

For his part, Ambassador Le Viet Duyen thanked the leaders of UNEFA for their coordination in organizing the meaningful celebration and exhibition.

The Ambassador highlighted the heroic examples of Vietnamese women throughout more than 4,000 years of history.

He affirmed that Vietnamese women have played a very important role in the success of the previous struggle for independence and national defense, as well as the cause of industrialization, modernization and international integration in the current period.

Through this event, the Venezuelan people understand more about the country and people of Vietnam. At the same time, it helped strengthen the friendship between the peoples of the two countries, contributing to promoting the comprehensive friendship and traditional partnership between Vietnam and Venezuela on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the diplomatic relations and the 15th anniversary of the Vietnam-Venezuela Comprehensive Partnership.

On this occasion, the guests also watched performances of the hat dance, Vietnamese Ao Dai performed by Venezuelan artists.

Alí Alejandro Primera, a Venezuelan singer, performed the song "Vietnamese woman," expressing affection and admiration for the people and country of Vietnam.

In addition, visitors can also admire the traditional Ao Dai in the exhibition space and enjoy traditional cuisine of Vietnam./.
