More than 20 agricultural products, mainly fruits, vegetables and Vietnamese rice, will be sold at the three largest Al Maya supermarkets in the city of Dubai including Al Maya Murooj Complex, Al Maya Marina and Al Maya Muraqqabat.

At the same time, the chain of more than 50 Al Maya supermarkets across the UAE will also carry out a promotion program for Vietnamese goods on this occasion.

On September 28, the opening ceremony of the week took place solemnly at Al Maya supermarket, Al Maya Murooj Complex in Dubai city, UAE. Vietnamese Ambassador to the UAE Nguyen Manh Tuan cut the ribbon to open the week.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Manh Tuan affirmed that Vietnam is proud to be a country with fruit and vegetable products rich in flavors, colors, and nutrition, and ensuring international quality standards.

The UAE in particular and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in general are potential markets to promote Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports. In recent years, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable products and other agricultural products have become increasingly popular in the region, he said.

The Ambassador said that the cooperation with Al Maya supermarket to hold this week is part of the embassy's series of economic diplomatic promotion activities to promote real Vietnamese agricultural products and bring them closer to UAE and regional consumers, as well as more and more international tourists coming to Dubai.

Chairman of the Al-Maya supermarket chain Kamal-Vanachi said that Al Maya is pleased to carry out the program to help Vietnam’s high-quality products with great potential penetrate deeply into the UAE’s Dubai markets and area.

He affirmed that the Al Maya supermarket system serves the consumption needs of all customers in the UAE regardless of nationality, focusing on fruit and vegetable and packaged foods. Al Maya is ready to act as a bridge to bring Vietnam’s high-quality agricultural products to consumers and international tourists, especially in Dubai.

This program continues to be the highlight of the diplomatic and trade promotion activities of the Vietnamese Embassy in the UAE, in combination with the promotion of the cultural image and achievements of Vietnam's agriculture, in order to implement the Government's policy in promoting the export of Vietnamese agricultural products to regional and world markets./.
